• I will be giving a course entitled The three faces of diagrammatic quantum reasoning: operationalism, categorical algebra & linear logic at [Foundations of Quantum Science & Technology - Expository quantum lectures series 2, Putra, Malaysia, November 24th-28th 2008].

• [Hans Briegel] and I are organising [QICS Workshop on Foundational Structures for Quantum Information and Computation, Obergurgl, Austria, September 14-20, 2008] which is supported by the EC FP6 STREP [QICS], by my [EPSRC ARF] and by the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and the University of Innsbruck.

• This year's Askloster meeting on mathematics in foundations of physics organised by Basil Hiley and Georg Wikman will take place July 24-27.

• [Prakash Panangaden] and I co-chair [The joint QPL'08 - DCM'08 workshops on Quantum Physics and Logic - Development of Computational Models], affiliated with [ICALP'08, Rejkavik, Iceland, July 12-13, 2008]. My student Bill Edwards will present our joint paper entitled Toy quantum categories.

• [Ross duncan] will present a joint paper entitled Interacting quantum observables at [ICALP'08, Rejkavik, Iceland, July 7-11, 2008].

• My student Bill Edwards will be presenting our joint paper entitled Toy quantum categories at [Category Theory 2008, Calais, France, June 22-28, 2008].

• [Viv Kendon] and I co-organise a special session on Quantum Algorithms and Complexity at [Computability in Europe 2008 - Logic and Theory of Algorithms, Athens, June 15-20, 2008]. [Ross duncan] will present our joint ICALP08 paper in that session.

• I will be in the PC of the [Twenty-fourth Conference on the Mathematical Foundations of Programming Semantics (MFPS XXIV), University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, May 22-25, 2008]. I will present a joint paper with [Eric Paquette] and [Simon Perdrix] entitled Bases in diagrammatic quantum protocols.

• [Andreas Doering] and I coorganise the 2nd workshop on Categories, Logic and Foundations of Physics at Imperial College, May 14, 2008. There is a [webpage for this series].

• I will be speaking on an axiomatic approach to measurement-based quantum computing at [New Directions in the Foundations of Physics, American Center for Physics, College Park, April 25 - 27, 2008]. I'll be at NRl in Washington DC the days after.

• [The second QICS workshop will take place in Grenoble, April 5-7, 2008]. This meeting is afiliated to the EC STREP [QICS] of which I am the coordinator.

• [Steve Clark] and I co-organize [Quantum Interaction II, Oxford University Computing Laboratory, March 26-28 (2.5 days), 2008]

• Prakash's Barbados workshop will this year be on [Logic, Physics and Quantum Information Theory, March 17-21, 2008]

• I will be speaking at [the 2008 Clifford Lectures at Tulane, New Orleans, March 12-15, 2008]; almost at the same time in New Orleans, March 10-14, there is the [March Meeting of the American Physical Society] where Howard Barnum organises a [Focus Session on Foundations of Quantum Mechanics].

• I'll be giving a [Fellow's Lecture at Wolfson College in Oxford] on March 5, 2008.

• The first review of the [QICS project] will take place in Paris on March 3, 2008 as part of the [2008 QIPC Cluster Review].
